قوموا اخبروا عن غرامي يا عريبَ الحيّْ

بأنني في الهوى ميت بصورةْ حيّْ

بأنني في الهوى ميت بصورةْ حيّْ

Rise and tell of my passion, O dear Arabs of the encampment,

That in love I am dead, in the form of one alive.

يا من يؤذنْ لهم لما ينادي حَيّْ

يا من يؤذنْ لهم لما ينادي حَيّْ

لا تنس دار الحبائبْ قف وعني حيّْ

لا تنس دار الحبائبْ قف وعني حيّْ

O you who call them to prayer, when you cry 'Come!'

Do not forget the beloveds' abode; stop and greet them on my behalf.
