من شدة القرب كان البعد للإنسانْ

لأن هذا عليه يغلب النسيانْ

From the intensity of nearness was distance to man

For this overcomes him - forgetfulness

فلو تذكرْ نزلْ في ساحة الإحسانْ

وكان بالله ناطقْ في الورى مِلْسانْ

If he remembers, he descends into the abode of benevolence

And would be with God a speaker in creation a tongue
