By virtue of divine manifestation, we came to the village of al-Fijeh,

We came with the ruling of revelation to the village of Al-Fijah

Along a road to it—how many ascents it held!

On a road with much winding to it

والله حافظنا في كل تعويجه

والله حافظنا في كل تعويجه

حتى شهدنا لضيق الأمر تفريجه

حتى شهدنا لضيق الأمر تفريجه

And God was our guardian at every bend,

By God, we were protected at every turn

Until we witnessed relief from our straitened plight.

Until we witnessed relief from the tightness of the matter
