  1. زجاجتكْ أشرقت في وسط مشكاتَكْ

    فافهم ومصباحها يا صاحبي ذاتَكْ

    Your glass has shone in the midst of your niche.

    So understand: its lamp, my friend, is your very self.

  2. وزيتها خالص التوحيد ما فاتَكْ

    قل لي لكم أنت غافل في عماواتَكْ

    And its oil is pure affirmation of God's oneness—it has not eluded you.

    Tell me, how very heedless you are in your blindness!
