To You belongs all praise, O Lord of the heavens and earth,

And You who, if You will, make humankind displeased or content.

He knows everyone's circumstances; His decree—

All must be content with it, and even if they rage, it takes effect.

And thanks to You, O God, in every condition,

For ease and hardship, expansion and contraction.

We have placed our hope in You, O You in whom hope never fails,

For certain matters, if You will, in accordance with what You decree.

And we call upon You: accept, O my God, our supplication.

And do not disgrace us at our gathering, at the hour of presentation.

We have sought nearness to You through the sanctity of Ahmad,

The Prophet of guidance, who brought voluntary and obligatory observances,

And by the honor of the two noble men lying beside him, who are

Abu Bakr the Truthful, together with Umar, the approved one.

And by grace from You, turn away from us whisperings

That came to us from Satan, drawing us downward.

And do not leave us a burden upon anyone except

Your august presence; and guard us from the broad, slippery path.
