بقاب قوسين قم يا صاح وارمي سهمْ

إن كنت مقدامْ في حرب الأعادي شهمْ

إن كنت مقدامْ في حرب الأعادي شهمْ

At two bow-lengths, rise, O friend, and shoot an arrow,

With my bow curved in a crescent, arise O archer and loose thy arrow,

if you are bold and noble-hearted in battle against the foes.

If thou be foremost in the battle's van 'gainst the foe's serried rank,

وافهم معاني حروف الخلق أقوى فهمْ

وافهم معاني حروف الخلق أقوى فهمْ

وارفع قناع الحجى واخرق حجاب الوهمْ

وارفع قناع الحجى واخرق حجاب الوهمْ

And grasp the meanings of creation’s letters with the keenest understanding.

And understand the meaning of God's words with clearest understanding,

And lift the mask of reason, and pierce the veil of illusion.

Uncover the mask of ignorance, rend asunder the veil of fancy's dream.
