Through your secret, their very selves stood forth in the visible realm.

They are the ones who, through you, fell into annihilation.

They journeyed toward the lights of your essence amid creation,

and behold, all withdrew from separateness.

You are the ink, and they your letters; you inscribed them

with yourself, within yourself; upon the thrones of your unfolding they came to rest.

And if you turn aside—you, the wāw of our existence—

the foes emerge, and in you are seared by their own fire.
