He who turns away from the light of your sun has gone astray.

O you, love for whom is enjoined upon creation.

O light of the light of light, from the direction of the sanctuary,

You are the sanctuary and that white light.

The All-Knowing, the Wise, has jealously withheld you from all else.

And everyone seeks you out with love's anguish.

A letter holds, through elongation amid the gathering,

a secret through which hearts are healed and fall ill.

And it is that through which 'he' and 'that which,' and all besides them both,

and what is other than otherness, are known to the seeker.
