وجود حقيقيٌّ هو الغيب مطلقُ

وجود حقيقيٌّ هو الغيب مطلقُ

به الكل موجود يلوح فيشرقُ

به الكل موجود يلوح فيشرقُ

Real existence is the absolute Unseen.

Through it, all exists, appears, then shines forth.

وهم عدمٌ والإنتساب يريكهم

وهم عدمٌ والإنتساب يريكهم

وجوداً فحقق ما ترى يا محقق

وجوداً فحقق ما ترى يا محقق

And they are nonbeing; their relation to it shows them to you

As being—so ascertain what you see, O discerning one.

ودع عنك هذا الإلتباس فإنه

ودع عنك هذا الإلتباس فإنه

على كل عقل حاكم ليس يرفق

على كل عقل حاكم ليس يرفق

And set this confusion aside, for it

Rules over every mind and shows no gentleness.

فيظهر معدومات كل مقدر

فيظهر معدومات كل مقدر

من الغيب موجودات حس فتحرق

من الغيب موجودات حس فتحرق

So it makes every conceiver’s nonentities appear

From the Unseen as things existent to the senses—so you burn.

وما ذلكم إلا مجرد نسبة

وما ذلكم إلا مجرد نسبة

إليه تعالى كل ما الله يخلق

إليه تعالى كل ما الله يخلق

And that is nothing but a mere relation

To Him—exalted is He—of all that God creates.

فميز وجود الحق من عدم السوى

فميز وجود الحق من عدم السوى

تكن رجلاً عند الورى بك يوثق

تكن رجلاً عند الورى بك يوثق

So distinguish the Real’s existence from the nonbeing of all else;

You will be a man trusted among humankind.

وسدد وقارب واتكل واصطبر وكن

وسدد وقارب واتكل واصطبر وكن

بغير وجود عند نفسك تصدق

بغير وجود عند نفسك تصدق

And aim true, come close, rely, persevere, and be

Without existence in your own eyes; then you will be truthful.
