Be aware of God's blessing, and be

Know the blessings of God and be

certain of it through His abundant bounty.

Actualizing them through His abundant grace

فالشيء لا يعرف في وجدانه

فالشيء لا يعرف في وجدانه

وإنما يعرف وقت فقده

وإنما يعرف وقت فقده

For a thing is not appreciated while one possesses it;

For a thing is not known in its existence

it is appreciated only when it is lost.

Rather it is known at the time of its loss

والعطر لا ينشقه عطاره

والعطر لا ينشقه عطاره

والغير يدريه لبعد وجده

والغير يدريه لبعد وجده

And perfume is not smelled by its perfumer,

And a perfumer does not sense his own scent

while another perceives it, being less accustomed to its presence.

Others know it for the intensity of its presence
