حسب الناس أنني أتسلَّى
بسوىin other than منthe One who سواهbesides Him لستI am not أراهُI see him
بسوى من سواه لست أراهُ
People thought that I was seeking solace
People think that I am entertained
In anyone but the One besides whom I see no other.
By other than Him, I do not see
عجباًhow strange! هلdoes? لمنfor anyone سواهbesides Him وجودexistence
عجباً هل لمن سواه وجود
عندهمin their view أينwhere قولهمtheir saying اللهُGod
عندهم أين قولهم اللهُ
How strange! Does anyone besides Him exist
How strange! Is there existence for other than Him
In their view? Where is their saying, 'God'?
