How many a maiden, consummate in her beauty—
Many a maiden is perfect in her beauty.
if the full moon perceived her radiance, it would go mad.
Were the full moon to perceive her radiance, it would go mad.

بكراً وزررتُ عليها بالقُبَلْ
I clothed her in a robe of soft silk,
I clothed her in a robe of soft silk,

And I have a heart enamored of beauties;
And I have a heart enamored of beautiful women;
its beloved crushes it as a mountain is crushed.
its beloved crushes it as the mountain was crushed.

Al-Lāt and al-ʿUzzā are two appearances for him,
And al-Lat and al-Uzza are two manifestations of him,
through what lies behind them—and what lies behind Hubal.
through what lies behind them and what lies behind Hubal.
