How lovely the garden in al-Lawan, named al-Burj—the Tower!

O beautiful garden of colors, its name is Al Burj

We journeyed to it as the sun journeys toward a zodiacal sign.

We walked to it, like the sun's path to the tower

وفيه كنا وقد غنى حمام البرج

وفيه كنا وقد غنى حمام البرج

وقلعة الأمن قد بتنا بها في البرج

وقلعة الأمن قد بتنا بها في البرج

And there we were, while the tower’s doves sang.

And in it we were, when the pigeons of the tower sang

And in the citadel of safety we spent the night, in the tower.

And the fortress of security in which we spent the night in Al Burj
