متdie فيin هوىlove of حيْthe Living One تحسبْreckon حيَّهُHis life حيَّكْyour life
مت في هوى حيْ تحسبْ حيَّهُ حيَّكْ
وانزلand settle بِحَيُّهْin His quarter فإنُّهْfor indeed He قدalready نزلْsettled in حيَّكْyour quarter
وانزل بِحَيُّهْ فإنُّهْ قد نزلْ حيَّكْ
Die in love of the Living One; reckon His life as your own.
I died of love while you thought I was alive
And settle in His quarter, for He has already settled in yours.
And I descended to my grave though to you I was raised
هذاthis الذيwho بظهورُهْthrough His appearing قدalready قتلْslew حيَّكْyour serpent
هذا الذي بظهورُهْ قد قتلْ حيَّكْ
وثوبand the garment of حالِكْyour state علىupon نُولِthe loom of الهدىguidance حَيَّكْHe wove
وثوب حالِكْ على نُولِ الهدى حَيَّكْ
This is He whose appearing has slain your serpent.
He whose appearance killed you
And He has woven the garment of your state upon the loom of guidance.
May your state be clothed in guidance though you missed it
