تجمَّع القوم للأضرار واختبطوا

ما بينهم وبساطُ السوء قد بسطوا

ما بينهم وبساطُ السوء قد بسطوا

The people gathered to do harm and clashed

The people gathered for harm and were confused

Among themselves, and they had spread the carpet of evil.

Amongst themselves, and the carpet of evil they laid out

فجاءهم قول محيي الدين ينضبطُ

فجاءهم قول محيي الدين ينضبطُ

يا سطوة الله حلِّي عقد ما ربطوا

يا سطوة الله حلِّي عقد ما ربطوا

Then Muhyi al-Din's saying came to them in ordered form:

Then came to them the words of Mohiuddin that fell in line

O might of God, undo the knots they tied,

O Might of God, undo the knot they tied

وشتتي شملَ أقوامٍ بنا اختلطوا

وشتتي شملَ أقوامٍ بنا اختلطوا

إبليسُ للشرِّ داعيهم وجامعهم

إبليسُ للشرِّ داعيهم وجامعهم

And scatter the gathering of people who have mingled with us.

And scatter the unity of the folk with whom we mixed

Iblis is their summoner to evil and their gatherer.

Iblis is their caller to evil and their uniter

وما لهم عن هواهم من يمانعهم

وما لهم عن هواهم من يمانعهم

ناديت لما بدا للعكس طائعهم

ناديت لما بدا للعكس طائعهم

And they have no one to restrain them from their passions.

And none can stop them from their passions

I cried out when their follower appeared bent on opposition:

I called when their compliance to the opposite appeared

الله أكبر سيف الله قاطعهم

الله أكبر سيف الله قاطعهم

وكلما قد علوا في ظلمهم هبطوا

وكلما قد علوا في ظلمهم هبطوا

God is greatest! God's sword cuts them down.

God is Greater, Sword of God their cutter

And whenever they rose high in their oppression, they fell.

And whenever they rose up in their injustice, they were brought down
