  1. ما وجدنا من البرية إلا

    خلقاً زائفا وجهلاً مبينا

    We found among humankind nothing but

    False morals and manifest ignorance—

  2. حشرات لا تعرف الخير والشر

    وفيها الهلاك للعرافينا

    Insects that know neither good nor evil,

    And in them lies doom for the seers.
