Lo, you who unjustly offer me abuse,
O Mahdi, why do you unjustly revile me?
Mark well, when you trade shots, the crag of the one you target.
Be careful who you strike when you attack

My honor has spurned reproach; indeed, my honor is pure.
My honor refuses blame, for my honor is pure
And I am unyielding, among those who defy oppressors.
And I am too proud for angry revenge

And I am of the people whose blood
I am of those whose blood
is a cure for the rancor of those seeking blood vengeance.
Is balm to the seeker of scores to settle
