- إذا قامت بواكيكWhen your mourning women rise,
- ألا قل لعبيد اللهListen, say to ʿUbayd Allāh:
- أَنا من بغية الأَميرI am of the prince's choosing, a treasure
- غضب الأحمق إذ مازحتهThe fool grew angry when I teased him.
