1. You are God's door and erected palace
You are God's succor that guides and restores

2. You are the one through whom God fulfills all wishes
You apportion heavens and hell

3. Through God you are, and from Him, and for Him
Beyond repeating His words, you venture not

4. You are the one before whom naught was
Save God, who gives life even to dry bones

5. In you are great, towering signs
Evident ones that poison enemies

6. And shelter and protection for supporters
And means to win the bountiful paradise

7. In Ghadir is a great sign for those
Who desire only guidance, O Father of Hasan

8. Your word is truth—God forbid
That rejecters of faith be your equal

9. For you the sun returned without pause
O best of those who carry blades

10. It gave drink to disputants
As you knew to be pure of heart

11. And by what you brought on the 18th
A wonder most wondrous

12. The hot wrath of God enclosed them
Where today they find no water at all

13. You are the one the Euphrates spoke to
Witnessed from all directions

14. When you asked it to show its marks
“Who am I, O generous, flowing one?”

15. You are the one the river whale spoke to
And people learned a lesson

16. And twelve springs gushed forth from it
Each like a great towering mountain

17. You came with wondrous command
When both armies were gripped by chaos

18. Where none could find respite
A crisis that confounded the wise

19. You said “Comfort yourselves, my people
Tomorrow God will send you

20. Plentiful fodder and food
So pray to God, the Benevolent”

21. And with your handful of sand
A miracle pointing to the Righteous

22. Rank after rank of men witnessed
Heal those in sickness, O intercessor

23. The father of the two grandsons
The best trustee of God

24. Through whom the best prophet was empowered
The piercing sword of the Lord of the Throne

25. Revealer of God’s power over mankind
God’s proof over lands and nations

26. Sign of the Merciful calling to guidance
Knowing what was and what will come

27. If all seven seas
Were ink equal to them

28. The tenth of hidden mysteries in you
Would not be exhausted, O God’s confidant

29. You were the pure chosen one’s backbone
Arriving with what none other attained

30. Protecting guidance, faith and truth
Unsheathing your sword against the wicked

31. Through you God made the loyal shine
Through you the rightly guided prophet

32. Spoke weighty, decisive words enough
Through you came wisdom and wise command

33. Miracles and formidable events continue in you
Upon whom the Noble Spirit descended

34. God sent you greetings of peace
Choose the angels’ help and protection

35. Or Ali, bane of enemies
God’s piercing sword in mighty calamities

36. He chose Ali though his soul longed
The pure one came striding mightily

37. So enemies now see raging lions
With a formidable lion amid retreating rabble

38. And prone corpses become the earth’s skin
God solaced the Messenger

39. In Tabuk with the summoned Ali
Manifesting faith with sword blows

40. God’s flame against wicked enemies
God’s lion that never fled

41. His blows the ruin of rebels and lions
If he spoke, he spoke no lies

42. The work of the Capable, Wise Ruler
None but his progeny has the like

43. None in creation resembles him
So none can substitute or match him

44. The wise are confused by his attributes
Let it be, he belongs to God, say what you will

45. He is God’s servant, the rightly guided prophet
Through God he does what he desires

46. No blameworthy trait is in his conduct
O Imam none can count the praise

47. Sung of him even by the learned
The heavens and earth and all within

48. I said, save God and the knowing Guide
O Master whom guidance comes from

49. And whom He chose, approved and guided
To the straight path, enough for him

50. Evil is the lot of those who oppose him
O Father of the pure and the foremost

51. Loving them is enjoined on all believers
Signs of the Merciful revealed in them

52. All guided, steadfast in faith
Wise scholars, forbearing caliphs

53. God's regents on earth and in heaven
The Almighty's authoritative proofs

54. Noble lords, all generous
You are the rightly guiding, pious group

55. Intercessors and martyrs
No excuse remains for those who abandon you

56. No, by the Lord of the House and Wise Remembrance
God curse whoever turns

57. Away from you and chooses misguidance
Wronging mankind knowingly

58. Allied with every outcast devil
Cursed are those disbelievers

59. Who oppressed the People of the House
Deemed oppression of them lawful

60. Breaking ties with their Masters, the most virtuous
Oh my people and their ilk

61. Mankind blocked by their deeds
From the faith of this entire world

62. Save those with wisdom and insight
