1. O rising star granting us joy and generosity,
The birth of the generous and noble has arrived.

2. He is the son Mahmoud, his origin is Ahmed,
From the finest lineage his noble roots have spired.

3. To people of glory it is right to rejoice for him,
For he is the first aim to revive vanished glory.

4. May Allah, Lord of the Throne, protect him from envier’s harm
And grant him the sweetest gifts of favors stored.

5. And when glory was born anew, the chronicler said:
"To our God be praise, Mahmoud the greatest is born."
