1. My mercy, you have slept long
A compassionate one unable to endure this distance

2. You overslept, did you not hear
His crying that melts the heart of rock

3. You slept with eyelids shut, so awaken
The delight of your eyes on pillows lying

4. Enough is this, have mercy on his heart
O mother, where is the tenderness of your heart

5. How could you have the patience to leave
The fluttering of this heart forlorn

6. Shafeeq slept, do not cry, sorrow is enough
Do not give way to sorrows, all paths

7. Your mother is sleepy now, do you want
Anything to be fulfilled for you entirely

8. Your father is present, so ask what you desire
And you will find everything you wish for

9. You refused but her return, so wait
As long as you want, for the promised day

10. If you called out alive, do not
Seek to meet her before the day of calling

11. The matter has ended, so do not grieve
And Allah will judge between us as He wills
