1. The long-awaited meeting has arrived and fulfilled my promise
So my heart, rejoice at the renewed joy

2. He came with a gentle hand and kindness prevailed before him
So my soul, delight in his generous stream

3. He revealed a handsome face with an alluring smile
That surpassed the edge of sharp swords

4. He glanced with a look, God knows, that
Exceeded the blades of polished Indian swords

5. He swayed a neck like a branch bending over a sapling
With above it a full moon from over the horizon

6. He went around with cups, if you saw them
You would see pearls dissolved in pure wine

7. He handed them to me while the cupbearer shook them
And said to me with his inclination, “Drink from my hand”

8. He conversated with me about love
Sweeter than Euphrates water to the rocky valley

9. A conversation that contained the sorcery of eloquence as if it
Were strands of pearls from the speech of Muhammad

10. Responsive to calls, the Lord of dew, source of guidance
Taster of pleasure, flavor of misery and loss

11. Unrestrained humor, refined speech
Pure of manners, tail, and hand

12. Towering over his peers in intelligence
Superiority, valor, pride, and excellence

13. A mind that almost informs him today
Of what will happen tomorrow

14. Ardent fervor and care for the Most High
Refined courtesy and gentle affection

15. Power to subdue the tyrants, good news for the miserable
Softness for the newly converted, and domination over the aggressive

16. Generosity, eloquence, sweet words
Sound opinion, and guided judgement

17. O you who alone multitudes of people surrendered to
Never before have we seen crowds submit to one

18. I congratulate you on the abundant good, the beautiful praise
The everlasting, glorious honor

19. For you have many virtues that bear witness against the enemies
Many honors, and much aid for you

20. Between the two worlds, achievements for you
That have destined you among us with immortal praise

21. So live in bliss, be safe, surrender to prosperity, rejoice
Stay well, sleep, pride yourself on glory, and increase

22. Receive good news of the returned celebration and purity
And the defeat of enemies, thank your Lord and praise Him

23. And accept from the blessed Eid repeated seasons
And renew the covenants of rejoicing and celebration

24. And maintain the gathering of joy and delight
And dispel the hunger of tribulations, and destroy them

25. For the highest ranks have surrendered to you
And all the congratulations of humankind have celebrated the Eid of Muhammad
