1. O Quraysh, make peace between us,
For long has the rope of dissension lasted between us.

2. There is no good in you after us, so treat us leniently,
And no good in us after, so search for Ibn Malik.

3. Both of us are hands long in striking enemies,
When the day comes for charging cavalry.

4. So mention not what was between us and you,
For in recalling what is past comes mutual reviling.
