1. Do you dare to weave your name into mine
And wish to conceal your fate within my fate?

2. Yet you plan against me while being generous
For I see the dragon plotting against the full moon

3. O you who still recite while his words mislead
When he reads the Quran he calls to blasphemy

4. The devil tells him while he recites
"Did you benefit from distorting the clear Scripture?"

5. If the Messenger of God were to hear his lesson
He would say "This is not what was revealed in my heart"

6. Whenever he recites a letter to refresh his memorization
His intention is that we complete praising in the month

7. He lengthens the "seen" of "al-sirat" as if
He is dragging a little boy while he runs when ordered

8. He belies easily the Quran with his recitation
Due to the difficulty we experience in reciting

9. He disputes about "al-naziat" whenever he recites
And squeezes out of it the eye in "ayn and al-asr"

10. When he recites "al-fajr" in its darkness
You see him struggling with it until the dawn breaks

11. One day he recited "al-hashr" at dawn while praying
So he prolonged it until he paused at the "hashr"

12. The ugliness of his recitation makes one lack zeal for Islam
So he earns sins for us in the place of reward

13. He thinks out of ignorance and self-admiration
That he is like Asim al-Qari or like Abu Amru

14. May Abu al-Hassan be blinded and you were blinded about
Your blindness just as it was said in times past

15. You did not know and were unaware of your ignorance
Who will make you know that you do not know?
