1. The wind of longing for the separated was poison,
Then it became a breeze at the reunion.

2. Yesterday it was the fire of Nimrod,
Today it is the fire of Abraham.

3. What made going out of a town pleasant,
My love, and how sweet is the arrival!

4. The stop of parting was named entertainment,
Just as stinging was named healthy.

5. I tasted the flavor of parting and reunion,
I almost went crazy from too much of this and that.

6. It is as if I had not seen fire or paradise,
Yet I tasted washing and breeze.

7. Parting from the beloved and perishing are evil,
Even if this and that are great.

8. Losing one who benefits youth
Is not like losing one who benefits bliss.

9. Be gentle, for every beloved
Who was harsh becomes kind.

10. You do not see the sun when the horizon hides it,
Yet it extends the glow to the stars.

11. You corrected for me the affection of my days,
Though their love was sickly.

12. You sheltered me when people dismissed my hopes,
Dismissing the orphan's guardian.

13. You mended hope though it was in ruins,
Then you made it fruitful though it was barren.

14. So one who sees the relief of my harm says,
“My Lord gives life to fragile bones."

15. You purified my wishes for me and they became
Hopes rising high though they were worries.

16. So my name became honored by your hands,
Shameless yet it was beastly before.

17. Your gifts clothed me in a robe that,
By your name, became embroidered among all people.

18. If I were silent in thanking the effects of Your bounty,
The speaking would speak to the silent.

19. Your great fortune touched me until I saw
My fortune as great though it was worries.

20. If a deprived one saw your image in a dream,
Your imagination would suffice the deprived.

21. Your nature requires your generous self,
As the creditor requires the debtor.

22. You protected us when the nights neglected us,
So we praised through you the despicable time.

23. The world thanked you, so it gave you
General, accessible, and allotted reward.

24. You beautified it, so you showed in it
Generosity when people showed blame.

25. Whenever it is said, “May your goodness last,”
Generosity says “Amen,” desiring it to last.

26. We will never lack the shadows of your gifts covering the land,
Or lack one who is destitute on it.
