١. أمّا السَّماء فما فيها سوى قمرٍ
فيا مُهيمن كم في الأرض من قَمَرِ
2. I had heard of him before seeing him,
For the eye's view is not like hearing of him.
٢. قد كنتُ أسمع عنه قبل رؤيتهِ
ببعض ذا ليس رأيُ العَين كالخَبَرِ
