1. I ask Allah for forgiveness, and I ask
The beloved for forgiveness for two sins in one sin

2. If my eyes looked upon another
With a lust that filled my heart

3. Then I disobeyed Allah with my gaze
And betrayed the one I love without blame

4. So I take refuge in Allah from a glance
In which is the corruption of religion and love
