Except when the brave young man is recalled

2. Abu Al-Qasim excelled in praise
And his merit in praise cannot be measured

3. I thanked him as a brother and an Egypt seen
Fertilized as his generosity rains down

4. I feel more inspired praising him, and who bestowed
A blessing on one deserving, feels more inspired

5. He who makes merit deservedly situated
Is thanked in every situation

6. Were it not for people whose gratitude
Matches generosity, the stingy would be excused

7. Long may you live, and so too the patron for you
Ever victorious, and the critic severed
