1. For me there is what the Most Merciful has decreed
And in me is the hope that God's forgiveness is awaited

2. O night of a thousand months, you are its pearl
And you are the best: in you forgiveness is awaited

3. In you the revelation of His mercy upon creation
And in you guidance and forgiveness of sin are hoped for

4. Did not my Lord say about you in His verse
That from a thousand months her mention was exalted?

5. The trusted angel Gabriel descended in it
And it was enveloped in safety, no discord touched it

6. And He said "Peace" in it from its beginning
Until the rays of dawn glisten and flow

7. How much peace descended in it, in it is mercy
And God’s blessings that cannot be numbered

8. In the beginning, mercy; in the middle, forgiveness
And at its end emancipation and pardon

9. O night! The Wise Command separates in it
And in you the fruits of people's deeds are hoped for

10. For me in your scroll there is light I seek
From darkness, in whose horizons there is no moon

11. You carried it with certainty, no doubt in it
And in my heart from it wonders unfold

12. It has contained my righteous deeds and what
My hands carried when the unseen curtains parted

13. Its letters are words scented with joy
In its meadow, a fragrant blossoming garden

14. I planted them in the gardens of eternity, for me a trace
I hope for through it my Lord’s face, and it is stored

15. O night! The glory of the great month is through you
And verses of guidance descended in you

16. Contained in a Book, in its eloquence
Mankind became confused, and Jinn and humans dazzled

17. The Book of my Lord, falsehood cannot approach it
How can any sight stray from its aim?

18. They could not bring, with all their knowledge
A chapter like it - by its wonders they were amazed

19. In His word the decision, no doubt or jest
And in it there is light and lessons in its verses

20. Its revelation overflowed on a night of great
Esteem, in which fear and stress are concealed

21. In it angels and Spirit descended
By command of their Lord, to do good they are ordered

22. At dawn, peace prevailed through it
So no discord mixed with its sunrise

23. In it the revelation of His mercy upon creation
And freeing captives - across the heavens they were reminded

24. Their sins in oceans of pardon swimming
In a month with its Lord sins are forgiven

25. My hopes spread in its field
Perhaps I'll be among those in its shade gathered
