1. When I sought help against adversities through the righteous,
Its paths led to the best outcome.

2. Stop at its two chambers, for if tomorrow comes,
It comes as mighty lions and cubs.

3. It drove the Caliph away from his kingdom,
And sufficed the Caliphate what worried and busied it.

4. A sword against its enemies does not sheathe,
The darkness of black adversities until it is fought off.

5. Its early beginnings are bent by deliberation, and sometimes
Its resolve moves on and becomes impetuous.

6. The rents have reached its nature, so it rose high,
And the splendor of its face radiated and glanced.

7. No blemishes in it, nor can one see
In it any inclination between betrayal and chastity.

8. Its doctrines prevailed, so it flowed refined
Like a shining star, it rose and reached the apex.

9. And a loyal ally who does not see to transgress,
Boasting of generosity until he excels.

10. O One of perfect generosity, whom his acts
Have attained the utmost generosity and sublimity!

11. Indeed, the Caliph only seeks through what
I requested that you say, “So shall it be done!”
