1. Alas for God's gift to you, O majestic one
And what you have gained of the share of writing
١. أَلا لِلَّهِ دَرُّكَ يا جَلُلتا
وَما أَحرَزتِ مِن حَظِّ الكِتابَه
2. You have conveyed from pacts and consolations
To pens, the state of the sons of reward
٢. نَقَلتِ مِنَ المَشارِطِ وَالمَواسي
إِلى الأَقلامِ حالَ بَني ثَوابَه
