All creation astray.
١. إِنَّ الزَمانَ زَمانُ سَو
وَجَميعُ هَذا الخَلقِ بَو
2. Ask them for comfort -
Their answer's "Nay!"
٢. وَإِذا سَأَلتَهُمُ نَدىً
فَجَوابُهُم عَن ذاكَ وَو
3. Could they own the light,
No creature would see.
٣. لَو يَملِكونَ الضَوءَ بُخ
لاً لَم يَكُن لِلخَلقِ ضَو
4. Honor's all gone,
Leaving "Would that" for me.
٤. ذَهَبَ الكِرامُ بِأَسرِهِم
وَبَقى لَنا لَيتا وَلَو
