1. I saw you fulfill what you didn’t promise
And do what you didn’t say

2. I asked for what I deserve, and you gave me
Double your capacity, doubling the half

3. So I don’t mind the shortfall in my determination
When you double for me what I ask

4. And you secured me from the gloating of enemies
Over fear of their hatred and dread

5. So may God secure you from stumbling steps
And protect you from pitfalls and lapses

6. And when you took over my matter, you refrained
From striving with trusting surrender

7. And I said “yes”, my need is fulfilled
While I used to say “perhaps” or “maybe”

8. And people knew that what you undertake
You must accomplish, come what may

9. That you provide them plenty and profuse
Why not redouble the meager and few?

10. You didn’t equivocate in what they seek
So you accept my weak excuses

11. You didn’t demean them by denying the plenty
So you allow your stature be debased
