1. After your formidable enemy's grievous deed,
And for those who seek to harm you, mournful is their cry,

2. We said, no matter, though you stumble do not cease,
The nights will pass and they'll return appeased.

3. Though the steed may stumble, it's worth remains,
Still surging forth, the sword as sharp as ever is.

4. Your foes will gain no ground from your rare lapse,
With God behind you, thwarting and defending.

5. One mishap came close, but God warded it off,
With His aid unbroken, caring and relieving.

6. It showed the Imam's thoughts were restless for
What befell you, leaving him upset and grieving.

7. Can ardent love lead to ought but woeful song,
Or tears that freely flow in streams unceasing?

8. You were graced that such fate should visit you,
To survive unbroken, though your heart is heaving.

9. No change of color nor loss of resolve was seen,
No trembling overcame your limbs so stalwart.

10. Until you came forth to us, tranquil of soul,
With brilliant aura, and face illumination impart.

11. News that aggrieves the envious when it spreads,
Retold by speaker and heard by listener heeding.

12. It traveled with the caravans about you though
Jealous ears may wish to silence words exceeding.
