Nor will guile make you ascend to the sky.

12. And when I examine the state of a person,

13. I seek wealth in the lands while my wealth

14. A camel for listening while the fraud in it

15. A nature the blames have left
The wickedness of torn prey.

16. His mother boasted of the stars yet was not
Satisfied with some of them as husbands.

18. How I have hated the absence of composure, yet
The way of fate in it has seemed beautiful.

19. Only resolve takes you through,
While mounting the led horse comes to nothing.

20. I do not see the caravan without Abroujird
Alighting the land of generous gifts.

21. An illness from Abi Ali has distanced us
From wealth after proximity.

22. There was no achievement without his support
As his bounty meets resolve.

23. If you see the person with them, you see him
Surpassing the people of his time in merit,

24. With an eloquent tongue and a hand
That is generous to the impoverished.

25. Blessed are my two pillars, so this
Is the essence of companionship and that its means.

26. They will not spend the night except as guarantors
Of security for the one who secures the intoxicated sky.

27. My right is to desire gifts, and the people’s right
Is that I follow poetry its course.

28. I wonder, did some misfortune befall Nasr
Or did the flatterers set for him a trap?

29. His mention ends - no good comes from him
Nor repentance to draw his return.

30. And it is up to you to reward
The sender of praise or return his messenger.
