1. If a man gathers reason and wisdom,
Then it is right that he should be obeyed.

The foolish reject it, thus it is lost.

3. How can one who comes closer by a handspan
Only take me further by an arm's length?

4. My soul desires only union with him
While his desires only separation.

5. We both struggle, I come closer and he moves away,
