1. Religion's affairs were gathered after scattering
By the riser, the successor, the reliant

2. By the felicitous, to good deeds made easy
And beloved among the righteous, hoped for

3. A king - if his command's resolve is made
No hesitation makes his resolve turn back

4. Your steeds raced, and horsemen atop them
With Al-Mushrifiya and Al-Washij, motley

5. Stallions outfitted, attempting a battle
Against Rome on a day of outfitted stallions

6. And I reckon you do not turn back their faces
Until you slay at the Gulf with clashing swords

7. May celebrations stay joyous for you
In glory from you and in lasting the longest

8. May you be rewarded the highest hoped for station
In Paradise Al-Firdaus, no hurry there

9. All goodness in supplicating you, praying
For Muslims and your accepted pilgrimage

10. You taught us the Prophet's ways and guidance
And judged us by the Book sent down

11. Truly, you inherited from the Prophet, and indeed
An inheritor of guidance from a Messenger

12. The caliphate sought refuge in your rights, it is
A share for Hashim's best man - the finest

13. And became defiant in your glory's shade, so it grew
In the best station and most fortified refuge

14. So build its regions with consistent, rising dedication
And clothe its cheerfulness with fortune drawing near

15. If I were jealous or competed with a group
I would've envied or competed with Mosul's people

16. Spring camped in their abodes and you shaded it
You both of glittering lightning flickering

17. So it illuminated from it each darkened valley
Obscure, and made fertile every flooded valley

18. So when will you camp in Damascus and dress
My country with growth from your pouring forth?

19. A journey you went on, eyes delighted by it,
And relieved tightness of each latched heart

20. Each day you descend a stage
Its landmarks renewed, leaving a stage

21. And when you want, you make a day of stopping
Where gladness halts, and a day of departing
