1. O daughter of Aamer, soon
The living will bid farewell, so be ready to depart.

2. I heard the raven promise separation
And the untying of your firmly tied bond.

3. How can I be tranquil when the abodes
Will be occupied tomorrow by mighty events?

4. Indeed the day of departure is a long day,
It does not fade, and it is a day of lasting grief.

5. O crescent, fulfill your duty to the highest pole
And a pole above a lofty dune.

6. The cure of the lovesick youth is only
His drinking from your cascading flow.

7. Do not stop me at the abodes for I
Am not one to change what is decreed.

8. I am preoccupied with weeping for loved ones,
My love’s tears hinder those of grief.

9. And the nearness of the two homes would be best
If it led to turning away a defamer.

10. By my life, time has become auspicious
Through Ibn Tawq, Muhammad the hopeful,

11. A generous one who encompasses praise and glory
With his vast and abundant virtues,

12. One passionate in love, magnanimous and tolerant,
And miserly in honor from whom

13. Rivers of bounty flow from a polished soul.
And perceptive, so when the perceptive incline

14. Toward him, they become insightful and polished.
A king whose traits resemble a meadow

15. Adjacent to the billowing clouds.
And is glory, if you consider it,

16. Anything but a quarter of his accomplished acts?
Stay and stand at the heights, O Ayyub,

17. In their shade rest in the afternoon.
And generosity has linked your comfort

18. To the giving of gifts beyond measure.
As if sorrows split off from your face

19. From a polished and gleaming chest.
Your palm has granted favors to the healthy,

20. So it rewarded you with ample praise.
Give what you wish, you have the greatest share

21. Of what you hope to obtain from your outpouring.
So the very generous is not over-generous,

22. And the sparingly praised is not paltry.
