And I see the precedents of your glory as regrets.

11. After they were established on Jabal Al-Ola
Their reputations perished and they flowed to the far distances.

12. They were the refuge of all the scattered
Tribes, in their affairs and wanderings.

13. The days will not provide me with any substitute for them -
Alas for any substitute for them! Alas!

14. The flames that pierced through their gray hair
Ascending in the air, spreading like the Euphrates.

15. And the one who reproaches me for time will know tomorrow
That the harvest comes after every planting.

16. My sons! I have awakened from my heedlessness
And was perplexed, then came to my senses from intoxication.

17. I looked to my forties and they cried out
At my white hair and shook my bent reed cane.

18. And I see the many descendants of my father
Who passed away while time rolls toward my descendants.

19. And of my relatives are those who rejoice at my death -
Foolishly, their lifeโ€™s honor depending on mine.

20. Whether He keeps me alive or takes me, I have attained what
Filled the breasts of my loyal friends and promises.

21. And I have sung, making the successors regretful,
A memory and pleasure to them in my compositions.

ูขูก. ูˆูŽุบูŽู†ูŠุชู ู†ูŽุฏู…ุงู†ูŽ ุงู„ุฎูŽู„ุงุฆููู ู†ุงุจูู‡ุงู‹
ุฐููƒุฑู‰ ูˆูŽู†ุงุนูู…ูŽุฉู‹ ุจูู‡ูู… ู†ูŽุดูŽูˆุงุชูŠ

22. And I have interceded, in the Majestic matter, with them
After the Majestic One, and so they granted my requests.

ูขูข. ูˆูŽุดูŽููŽุนุชู ููŠ ุงู„ุฃูŽู…ุฑู ุงู„ุฌูŽู„ูŠู„ู ุฅูู„ูŽูŠู‡ูู…ู
ุจูŽุนุฏูŽ ุงู„ุฌูŽู„ูŠู„ู ููŽุฃูŽู†ุฌูŽุญูˆุง ุทูŽู„ูŽุจุงุชูŠ

23. And I did good deeds for the Arabs through
Supporting students and freeing prisoners.

ูขูฃ. ูˆูŽุตูŽู†ูŽุนุชู ููŠ ุงู„ุนูŽุฑูŽุจู ุงู„ุตูŽู†ุงุฆูุนูŽ ุนูู†ุฏูŽู‡ูู…
ู…ูู† ุฑููุฏู ุทูู„ู‘ุงุจู ูˆูŽููŽูƒู‘ู ุนูู†ุงุฉู

24. So now, when I have pulled on the reins of ascendance
And climbed its highest steps,

25. One will compete to enter into the dust of my hastiness
Who cannot keep pace with me in the race.

ูขูฅ. ูŠูŽุฌุฑูŠ ู„ูŽูŠูŽุฏุฎูู„ูŽ ููŠ ุบูุจุงุฑู ุชูŽุณูŽุฑู‘ูุนูŠ

26. And one who, if I subjugated his tribe
On the day of pride, would have flown in my fantasies, will blame me.

27. My grandfather who called the prayer in Manbij
And established its direction of prayers there,

28. And my father Abu Hayyan, leader of Tai
Against the Romans, under his banners of protection,

29. And the conqueror of the Bridge, when Umar tempted him with it,

30. And my uncles - the Hufazan, and Hatim,
And the two Khalids, my paternal uncles.

31. And of my peers, some old and some recent,
The refined in wisdom, gentle in behavior,

32. When the honor of marriage was not bought
With money, in shamelessness and indecency.
