16. When loftiness or anger disheveled it,
Its sharp edge regained by questioning,

17. Whenever you see a crescent adorning it,
A sun on it will amaze you, its crescent,

18. And those achievements have surpassed their peers,
Excelling the achievements of champions,

19. And he was not deprived of victory in battle,
But war grew harsh, and its contention,

20. Had He willed when fate left revered,
Its arrows would have emptied the quivers of India,

21. The morrow rivaling advancement in battle,
Abu-Ghalib, horses neighing their charge,

22. As if both aiding and reciprocating,
Your right hand granted loyalty, its left,

23. They were not captured, schemes do not,
Surround the stratagems of captors, their sphere,

24. Nor escaped, escape being easy,
But swords they were forced by men,

25. I do not doubt the family of the excellent,
When the peak of glory was linked to it,

26. Insurgents of fame never inclined a principle,
When its possession was not theirs,

27. Your ransom Abu Ishaq departed to the heights,
Falling short of its goals yet attaining them,

28. And hopeful that your efforts will avail you,
And it has mingled with men, its ways,

29. How many glories have you shielded without way,
And occasions of glory never missed grasping,

30. I chide you, you delayed gratitude for bounties,
Following me, their flow and bestowal,

31. And how, wonders have not ceased,
To elude the actions of benefactors their words,

32. Wanderers in horizons, not yesterday was a place,
Inhabited, their travels have removed them,

33. Its deficiencies hostage to God’s repayment,
And debts remain in generosity prolonged,

34. I left the darkness of doubt and sided seeking,
Whiteness of contentment where its morn appears,

35. I was pleased by neither Leila as a lover, nor by,
Syria as a land whose settlement contents me,

36. Give us ease by sending the mounts, for they
Are fiery resolve, their tether removed,

37. And they may bring the longing one to the place of his longing,
