1. What we gained from Ahmad bin Ali
Except the fever of the Nile,

2. And my own misguidance and fruitless endeavor
Seeking the Nile where it cannot be attained

3. O Abu Al-Saqr, how many generous hands you have
With ample gifts and great length

4. Like the cure of sickness after despair
From its cessation or relief of affliction

5. Save me from the malice of villains with subtlety
And release my heavy taxes
