1. I asked you about that little boy
And the image of his beautiful, radiant face

2. And his commendable, moral character
And great manners

3. And precise articulation when he begins speaking
With proper measuring and lining of verses

4. Don’t you know that the people of Euphrates
Are the noblest, greatly honorable

5. And that the mark on Abul Abbaas
Tells of his generosity and goodness

6. When his virtues are displayed before us
We thank him for the loyalty of the grateful

7. We hope for him due to our desire for him
And we imagine him as minister to the minister
