1. The doctor said...and Allah said: Call upon Me
What Allah said suffices me and satisfies me

2. I say what our master Abraham said:
When I fall ill, Allah heals me

3. I did not despair of my Lord and His mercy
Despair is blasphemy, and good omens are part of my faith

4. With spirit, soul and faith I was
Not with the body, the body is of clay

5. I believed in Allah, who created the body from nothingness
And after my death He will resurrect me

6. I am not obsessed with living nor abject
What I have lived on the face of the earth suffices me

7. I crossed it for a while by destiny
It laughs at me sometimes and makes me cry other times

8. And the universe stretches endlessly around me
And time stretches for millions of years

9. And I witnessed in it the creativity of its Creator
Until my certainty walked through my veins

10. And I saw its most wondrous secrets
And its most wondrous secrets are the secrets of my creation

11. And how I came into the world, and how
My ambitions grew, and rose above the world of meanness

12. And how my soul soared in its ascent
Like an eagle, or how it contains me and I contain it?!

13. Manifestations from the Merciful that reveal
To the gnostics, without study or teaching

14. The secret of life, and the secret of death shone
Like the sun in it, and were good like the fragrant breeze

15. And the believers, the gardens of immortality are their tryst
They have from Allah a reward that is not diminished
