1. In every hardship, I extend my palm to You
And from You I find kindness in every peril

2. You are my refuge, while people are indifferent
Is the hoped for impossible like the obligatory?

3. So fulfill my hope in You, O Lord, and suffice me
The gloating of an enemy or the hurt of a friend

4. How many distresses have You saved me from their darkness
They were agonies between caution and misfortunes

5. I have no power nor any strategy
Except that my poverty calls for the Bestower of Gifts

6. O refuge of the desperate when he prays
Save me, for my ways are closed to me

7. Hope in You is the capital for me and its profit
And my asceticism towards the creation is my purest gain

8. O You who were good in the past, You are able
To be kind to me in my state and consequences

9. And I do hope from You what You are worthy of
