1. O you who viciously attacked in the corners, Deyman forever
Unjustly, and you forgave the sons of Daman

2. The book has come, making clear
Everything, explaining and proving

3. The scholars all said unanimously
And it's in the words of the Prophet, the Chosen One

4. Do not reproach each other, do not seek out faults
Be forgiving and be God's servants, brothers

5. And you knew that slander is forbidden
In hadith, consensus, and the Quran

6. The condemnation of slander on the slandered remains
A habit traveled by caravans through eras

7. And it placed him amongst people, as
Slander debased Nemir, then Ajlân

8. But your slander against us is of no benefit
Like a bite on solid, unmoving stone

9. You went too far in slander and condemnation, encompassing
Our religion, life, and Hereafter

10. So we will not repay your slander with slander, but say as
The Lord said in the glorious Quran

11. So how can we slander honorable nobles
Who are the elite, sheikhs and youth

12. We have not said about them except praise, nor
Will we say about you what you declared in explanation

13. They are the best people of the corners of the earth entirely
Without equal in ascendance and glory throughout registers

14. You slandered the most noble of them in self
And greatest in prestige and highest in glorious structure

15. If they took pride in ascendance or were vainglorious, they found
In the battlefield of knowledge and scholars, knights

16. They renewed the law of their guiding Prophet
And abandoned the evil of God's wrathful creations

17. You slandered your noble uncles and did not
Exclude a single one, but mounted them all bareback

18. You did not say about them what Jadah said about
His uncles, or what Ibn Muhaqqaq said

19. How can one who slanders his uncles escape from
Attributing slander and wronging them?

20. But rather an uncle deserves to be honored
His faults concealed, respected, and done good

21. Not slander and blame! You have repaid their kindness to you
Let alone great ingratitude and disbelief!

22. We are forever the axes of the mill and the sons
Of Daman, the best clan of Aus and Khazraj

23. So if you bring them together in glory, no wonder!
Deyman and Daman have become renowned amongst all people

24. We donned robes of ascendance and loftiness
Crimson, pearls, rubies and coral

25. We were atop the summit of loftiness
Above the clouds of dew, with crowns

26. Time was angry with its people
Until we came and anger became satisfaction

27. With us the Kaaba of piety was rebuilt and circled by
Those seeking the faith, men traveling and mounted

28. Our abode was above the stars, as
We were atop the cheeks of time, its horses

29. Above the Belt of Orion was our station
Our superiority for people had become clear

30. We have saddened excellence, glory, nobility and the lofty
From ancient times to present

31. Necklaces of glory around our necks, strung
As one, and we were the eyes of time, its humans

32. With our generosity and honor we pulled
Our banners above the lands of glory

33. Verily the ignoble are protected by our manliness
From them, and fear of the Master and piety

34. Forgiving the mistakes of brethren is our way
Not sin and stinginess, or rancor

35. Today our enviers have become blind to our virtues
And deaf to our eminence and superiority

36. I will turn my cheek in nobility,
So people thought us mute and blind

37. None can reach our stature who vie with us
In virtue, knowledge, faith, and doing good

38. Praise be to God, true praise, our Master
Granted us the heights and crux of glory

39. Daman, whom a sea of munificence cloaks in generosity
And in the heat of war, valiant heroes

40. When lightning overwhelms the people in smoke
From it, and the furnace sparked fires

41. There you find them lions, as if
They had plucked rosebuds from the flames of gunpowder

42. When thunderbolts of their lightning pour down
Death melts in tears and life panics in terror

43. As if they drive back death, parched with thirst
To themselves in war they grant no safety

44. They leave no battle without it bloodied
And from the blood of enemies they water orchards

45. And when the cauldron boils, with the flesh of enemies they feed
Our plains and eagles, if war kindled its fires

46. Good fortune's stars are their sincere friends
While the star of their enemies has become Saturn
