8. You burn people for revival and purification
Like the legendary Phoenix through the ages

9. You are a flame valued by the enlightened
Even after extinction in moments

10. You make the world a passing vision
That fades like a shooting star

11. You are the lanterns that adorned the temple of time
Illuminating the sights of the blind

12. If you appeared like light in a cave at night
You would frighten us with jinn and ghosts

13. Or if you crossed the horizon like a comet
They would say: it's the day of judgement

14. You have walked the "via dolorosa" though not
On the path of fortune-tellers

15. Your life is like the night of Jesus
In anguish in the loneliness of the garden

16. Or like Moses between Pharaoh and the desert
Suffering from his people's plight

17. Or like Taha when the Quraysh assaulted him
Tested by the riffraff and the children

18. You are the pure, without any filth
The virtuous, without pagan misguidance

19. And if you passed by a bar
It would be to cleanse it of impurities
