1. Money and women, both
Cannot be trusted by any man
١. إِن الدَراهمَ وَالنساءَ كِلاهُما
لا تَأمَنَنَّ عَليهما إِنسانا
2. They make the wisest turn away from piety
And see their misdeeds as a kindly plan
٢. يَنزَعنَ ذا اللُب المَتينِ عَن التُقى
فَيرى إِساءة فعلِهِ إِحسانا
