1. I made my home your tomb, my daughter

While the coming of the dead is not hoped for

You have rent my heart with all you have harvested

5. O earth that now covers blossoms
You are sweetly scented with what you have enveloped

6. You were home to a mind and ocean of knowledge
And agony through what you have kept

7. Grief has destroyed me, O Nadhar
And I am anguished since you left

8. Alone I have become—would that
I had met my end when you met yours

9. You strove for knowledge studiously
But could not enjoy what you learned

10. Your soul journeyed, O distant one, after you went
To a sublime world

11. Until you saw what you saw
Ascending to the heaven of He who is most high

12. Your soul became a bird
When the thirsty vines were watered

13. And your last words were declarations
Of the faith in which you were raised

14. God sanctified a soul from you
That attained the eternity it desired

15. A house has become the abode
Of the best daughter of the best home
