1. I adorned my neck with pearls from your cheeks,
So it became beautifully radiant.

2. Gems that the clouds would yearn for passionately,
Had they been necklaces for throats.

3. They dazzled all who spoke ineloquently,
So eyes were dazzled and tongues fell silent.

4. From them Allah created jewels, scattered,
From shells grows the pearl for crowns.
