1. A gift has come from Jallaq who gathered
Fruits, the aroma of apples wafted from it

2. The paths are fragrant from its diffusion, as though
Musk permeated our abodes

3. The palm of Umar's generosity dispensed it
To wealth he never wearied of doing good

4. Displaying in refined sciences, never
Failing to elucidate obscurities

5. In reasoning and tradition - whoever contends with him
Sees the brilliance of his intellect kindling science

6. He dawns over the horizons like a crown of grandeur
Rivaling the sun in loftiness and illumination

7. Exalted in rank, magnificent in religion his father
Chief justice, from him his light shone

8. A sun that illuminated and rays that cast
Upon us a glow of illumination from it

9. Verily time flourishes through al-Taj al-Din
Nearly quivering from joy and delight

10. Valiant, dignified, forbearing and capable
Flowing with knowledge, he brings light to mankind

11. Lost souls find guidance to righteous paths through him
Clothed in the light of knowledge and clarity

12. He is the preacher and son of the preacher and a protection
To the preacher, surpassing mankind in eloquence

13. Indeed praise adorned by you is ennobled
For you are the spirit and substance of glories

14. You remain in perpetual blessings upon blessings
Your favors animating bodies and souls

15. My heart had palpitated but your majesty calmed it
And it found peace inhaling the apple's scent
